Special Olympics Fundraiser
In 2023, we played the movie Champions (2023) alongside the Swift Current Special Olympics. The Special Olympics helped sell tickets for the event, and the proceeds went to their organization.
Kinettes Events
Once per year in November, the Gull Lake & District Kinette Club hosts its annual ladies' night out. We pick a "chick flick" from that year and the Kinettes sell tickets. They serve wine, and draw for prizes. All proceeds go to the Kinette Club.
Additionally, the Kinettes host the Santa Claus Day every year (a tradition that goes back to the 1940s!). We pick a kids movie, everyone gets in free, then the kids meet Santa after the show!
Eliminators Car Club
We've done various events with the Eliminators Car Club throughout the years. The car club comes to the theatre from Swift Current, holds a car show, and we plan an event around it. In 2018, we dressed in the era of our favourite car and had a barbecue. In 2023, we played Dazed and Confused and dressed in 1970s attire. It's a great event for both of our organizations.
Dead Prairies Productions
Dead Prairies Productions hosts events regularly at the Lyceum Theatre. From Double Feature Horror Nights, to our Silver Scream Escape Room, they love supporting non-profits in the area. All proceeds to their events go toward the Swift Current SPCA and the Lyceum Theatre.
