About Dead Prairies

Dead Prairies Productions is a Saskatchewan-based independent film studio dedicated to creating and promoting grassroots horror and genre storytelling. Founded with a love for the strange, the spooky, and the heartfelt, we focus on building opportunities for local filmmakers to showcase their work and connect with audiences who crave something authentic.

With over fifteen films produced, we are proud to support or communities, and our animals, by donating 100% of proceeds donated to SPCAs across the province. Our projects range from short films and community collaborations to film festivals and special events, all driven by one goal: to grow a thriving horror scene on the prairies.

Through volunteer spirit, independent creativity, and a lot of fake blood, Dead Prairies continues to prove that great stories can rise from even the quietest corners of the map.
